దినయామిన్యౌ సాయం ప్రాతః శిశిరవసన్తౌ పునరాయాతః । కాలః క్రీడతి గచ్ఛత్యాయుః తదపి న ముఞ్చత్యాశావాయుః ॥
రాత్రిపగళ్ళు, సాయంకాలం-ఉదయం, శీతాకాలం-వసంతం వస్తూపోతూ ఉంటాయి. కాలం ఆడుతుంది, ఆయువు గడిచిపోతుంది — అయినా ఆశ అనే గాలి ఎప్పుడూ ఆగదు.
