కామమయ ఏవాయం పురుష ఇతి । స యథాకామో భవతి తత్క్రతుర్భవతి । యత్క్రతుర్భవతి తత్కర్మ కురుతే । యత్కర్మ కురుతే తదభిసమ్పద్యతే ॥
పురుషుడు కోరికలతో నిండినవాడు. కోరిక ఎలా ఉంటుందో సంకల్పం అలా ఉంటుంది. సంకల్పం ఎలా ఉంటుందో కర్మ అలా ఉంటుంది. కర్మ ఎలా ఉంటుందో గతి అలా ఉంటుంది.

ఓ మైత్రేయీ! భర్త కోసం భర్త ప్రియుడు కాదు, ఆత్మ కోసం భర్త ప్రియుడు అవుతాడు.
